As much as I love planned, purposeful photoshoots of cars, nothing beats the thrill and excitement of motorsports photography. I photographed Formula DRIFT for 10 years and made numerous friends and connections along the way. The camaraderie that I developed with fellow drift photographers simply cannot be understated, and I’m very thankful for all the friendly competition that we’ve given each other over the years. This helped me try to master the slow panning shot, with shutter speeds set to 1/30 second or even slower. Despite being out on track for 2-3 days, dehydrated, and covered in sweat and tire rubber, it’s still the most fun type of automotive photography that I’ve ever done.
