I don't update this blog as often as I should, but when I do, you know it'll be something good!
For the second year in a row, I was fortunate enough to shoot DeadMau5 for the Seattle Weekly. I shot the entire show with just my Nikkor 24-70mm ƒ2.8, and its lightning-quick focusing proved to be very invaluable. The show was amazing as usual and I was able to get some great crowd photos. XDC (Xtreme Drift Circuit) is the latest national drift series to make a stop in the Northwest, and I was happy to cover it for NWMotiv.com. Speeds were much slower than Formula D thanks to the smaller kart track, so trying to get good slower-shutter pans was much more challenging. I miss the Seattle Supersonics. After being stripped away from my beloved city of Seattle by a number of forces (be sure to watch Sonicsgate for the full scoop…it’s free and won a Webby Award), I have sorely missed professional men’s basketball since 2008.
