This was our second year participating in this great charity show for Habitat for Humanity. I was quite happy to see my team, Project One, take home the Best Team Quality award. Our individual members took home awards as well, including trophies in the 2-door, 4-door, and 5-door classes, as well as the award for Best Wheels. Congrats to all of the winners! One quick pic…I’ve been helping Dan at EPIC Engineering out with testing springs for the 08-09 STI, and I took a quick snap of how it’s looking with the latest prototype rear springs and bumpstops installed. The car’s actually very dirty, but it didn’t come out in the photo 🙂 I added a little graduated ND filter for some emphasis on the otherwise plain background.
My MB-D10 vertical grip came in today. The camera already feels much more complete than without it. Nikon definitely did well on the ergonomics of this new grip. I’ll of course have a more detailed review later on, but until then, here’s a quick photo from my phone:
The first test for my new D300 and Velbon tripod legs was the Independence Day fireworks over Lake Union. Eugene’s roof ended up being pretty much a perfect location, with a nice view of the Space Needle in the background. Both the camera and tripod work flawlessly 🙂 Here’s a few selected photos: [smugmug url=”https://verdugo.smugmug.com/hack/feed.mg?Type=gallery&Data=8800354_vsnxA&format=rss200″ imagecount=”100″ start=”6″ num=”4″]
