My yearly ritual to capture the fireworks over Gasworks Park was a bit different this year, since our good friend Eugene had moved out of state and thus we couldn’t use his roof. Instead, we braved the parking and traffic to secure a spot on the shores of Lake Union as we had a few years ago. The first test for my new D300 and Velbon tripod legs was the Independence Day fireworks over Lake Union. Eugene’s roof ended up being pretty much a perfect location, with a nice view of the Space Needle in the background. Both the camera and tripod work flawlessly 🙂 Here’s a few selected photos: [smugmug url=”https://verdugo.smugmug.com/hack/feed.mg?Type=gallery&Data=8800354_vsnxA&format=rss200″ imagecount=”100″ start=”6″ num=”4″]
