Since I started using my Nikon D700 last November, I hadn’t really changed my line-up of lenses. My Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D and Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D felt right at home with the new full frame sensor, and the Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G satisfied my everyday walk around lens requirement, but none of these lenses really offered anything new to me. Erica’s been great to work with and hang out with since our first initial shoot, and now we’ve got another small one under our belts. We didn’t have much time to prepare, so this entire shoot took less than about 30 minutes total. Despite the short time frame, I think they all came out pretty good, and Erica’s happy with them. Each of these was shot with my D300 and either my 85mm ƒ1.8 or my my 50mm ƒ1.4.
It’s kind of ironic that today’s the first day of Spring, but this was really the only time we both had time to take some snaps of his winter setup. The area we shot in didn’t have very smooth road and it got dark a lot faster than I expected, but I think the shots still came out okay.
