Cherry Blossoms at the UW Quad 2016
It was a race to take photos before the rain and crowds, but this year’s cherry blossom photos at The Quad at the University of Washington turned out great. We arrived about half an hour before sunrise and early hour resulted in a much smaller number of other photographers compared to previous years. This made taking photos much easier and ultimately, quite relaxing. I was even fortunate enough to get a portrait of a Mallard Duck couple just chilling on the grass. We had hoped the lights would turn off sooner, but by the time it was bright enough for them to turn off, more and more photographers showed up and the rain started to sprinkle, so we headed out to grab breakfast. Either way, this was a perfect start to Spring and I’m happy to once again share these photos with everyone. Enjoy!
