The hearts of many male (and probably a few female) Subaru owners broke over night on December 4, 2010 when the (in)famous Stephanie French said “I do” to the love of her life, Travis Wiegand. I had the honor of capturing these moments and more at their wedding in Bellingham, Washington. It also marked the debut of my new Nikon D700 and Nikkor 24-70mm ƒ2.8 lens. For my first official assignment as a freelance photographer for The Seattle Weekly, I was fortunate enough to land a gig taking photos of DeadMau5 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre. Erica’s been great to work with and hang out with since our first initial shoot, and now we’ve got another small one under our belts. We didn’t have much time to prepare, so this entire shoot took less than about 30 minutes total. Despite the short time frame, I think they all came out pretty good, and Erica’s happy with them. Each of these was shot with my D300 and either my 85mm ƒ1.8 or my my 50mm ƒ1.4.
