Kito’s Tercel Rally-X Car

My friend Kito is into many awesome things. I recently shot his Range Rover for Land Rover Owner International Magazine, but we’re still waiting for the feature to publish before I can share photos. In the meantime, he told me that he’s building a rally-x car, and that he’s going to be doing a very unique paint job for it, thus he’d like me to document the process through photos. I was more than happy to do it, and thankfully my crazy schedule aligned perfectly with his painter and renting out the space to do it.

I met up with Kito and his artist, Sam Sneke, on a Sunday morning last month in the SoDo area of Seattle. The entire process took about four hours and it was pretty awesome to witness. Sam is quite talented and the car really came out fantastic. Hopefully, I’ll have a chance to get photos of this car on a rally-x course in the near future, but for now check out all the photos from the painting process:
