I had some relatives from North Carolina come for a visit last week, so I took them around the city at night to do a little sightseeing. I brought my camera with me of course and snapped a few photos at the places we went. The panorama above is a 3-photo stitch from Alki in West Seattle, and the three below are from Seattle’s Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill. Enjoy!
There are very few cars that seem to universally appeal to the masses, and I’m fortunate enough that I was able to photograph one of them for NWMotiv last month. I was also fortunate to have a rented D800 to play with for the shoot as well, which impressed me in just about every way possible. Last year, my good friend Berto asked me if I was interested in helping him out with behind the scenes photos of a music video shoot for local hip-hop artist, PROPS! I had met PROPS! previously at a couple of Berto’s parties, so I was happy to lend a helping hand. Last Sunday, KP and I joined Josh Mackey in shooting Jason’s Genesis Coupe. I really needed help in figuring out what I was doing wrong with rig shots, and thankfully Mackey was happy to show me the way. He showed us how to set it up properly and I quickly learned what I was doing incorrectly. This finally allowed me to put my new (used) Tokina 17mm ƒ3.5 AT-X Pro lens to good use!
