Last year, my good friend Berto asked me if I was interested in helping him out with behind the scenes photos of a music video shoot for local hip-hop artist, PROPS! I had met PROPS! previously at a couple of Berto’s parties, so I was happy to lend a helping hand. Last Sunday, KP and I joined Josh Mackey in shooting Jason’s Genesis Coupe. I really needed help in figuring out what I was doing wrong with rig shots, and thankfully Mackey was happy to show me the way. It’s been a long time since I’ve had the opportunity to just shoot a car without any time constraints, deadlines, or expectations. Alan and I caught a break in the weather on Sunday night and despite having my SB-600 and umbrella on stand blown down by the wind, the photos still turned out great and Alan was very happy with the outcome.
