2016 went by like a blur for me. It didn’t take anywhere near as many photos as I have in previous years, mainly due to life changes such as taking a role at eBay as the Global Digital Marketing Manager for the eBay Partner Network. Life is busy, but busy is good, and through it all I still found time to take some really great photos. 2016 was a year of many changes, and while some things make me feel […]
Formula DRIFT weekend at Evergreen Speedway is one of my favorite weekends of the year. Our coverage of this year’s event on NWMotiv.com is truly exceptional, but I wanted to share my own personal favorite photos here. I also rented the new Nikon 300mm f/4 PF VR lens for the weekend, which performed even better than I was expecting. Very light weight, but incredibly sharp, I’m definitely considering adding it to my collection of lenses. Most of my photos during […]
The final round of the Formula DRIFT 2012 season took place as usual at “The House of Drift” in Irwindale, California. It was an awesome event and I got to meet a bunch of people that I’ve been meaning to meet face-to-face for quite some time. I also rented a Nikon D4 to cover the event (big thanks to BorrowLenses.com) and really put it through its paces, which I’ll review later on. Until then, here are links to all of […]
3 1/2 weeks ago was my 6th annual visit to Formula DRIFT Seattle, covering it once again for NWMotiv. It was probably my favorite Formula DRIFT in the past 6 years, since I knew more people, the weather was perfect most of the time, and I feel like I took some of my best photos. You can read all about the two-day event at these links on NWMotiv, with the second one written by yours truly: https://www.nwmotiv.com/featured-content/formula-drift-seattle-day-1/ https://www.nwmotiv.com/featured-content/formula-drift-day-2-2012/ And of […]
XDC (Xtreme Drift Circuit) is the latest national drift series to make a stop in the Northwest, and I was happy to cover it for NWMotiv.com. Speeds were much slower than Formula D thanks to the smaller kart track, so trying to get good slower-shutter pans was much more challenging. The photos still came out great though, and I’m glad that I was able to make a lot of the drivers I’ve met happy with my photos of them. Here […]
