Just like last year, I spent Independence Day atop Eugene’s apartment building in the U-District of Seattle to watch the fireworks over Lake Union. The weather wasn’t quite as nice as last year’s, but the cloud cover helped reflect some of the light down, making the whole show seem a bit brighter. The first test for my new D300 and Velbon tripod legs was the Independence Day fireworks over Lake Union. Eugene’s roof ended up being pretty much a perfect location, with a nice view of the Space Needle in the background. 2014 Year in Review
What a year, 2014 was! I may not have taken as many photos as I had in previous years, but I’d say the quality is up there amongst the best in recent memory. Rather than taking photos of anything and everything, I ended up being a bit more selective for the most part this year, and really took my time.
