2014 Corolla for Toyota USA

After photographing the new 2014 Tundra and 4Runner for Toyota USA back in August, their PR agency also asked me to photograph the new 2014 Corolla a month later. This time, the photos would be shot at various locations throughout Seattle proper, but the turnaround time again was very fast, requiring finished photos by noon the next day. Again, I rented a Nikon D4 and a Nikkor 85mm ƒ1.4G from BorrowLenses.com for the shoot. As luck would have it, the day set aside for me to shoot the photos was full of off-and-on thunderstorms, so timing was very critical throughout the day. We started bright and early at 8 am Sunday morning, and eventually finished during the weather-suspended Seahawks-49ers home game at about 7 pm. After watching the remainder of the Seahawks-49ers game, I went to work on the photos and didn’t end up finishing them until 6 am. Later that day, I also photographed Toyota’s media presentation to the media at the EMP Museum, where I was completely surprised by the use of my photos for their slideshow, projected behind the presenters and cars. I’ve never seen my photos this large before, and quite frankly it was very overwhelming. Here’s a sample from my HTC One (since my DSLR photos aren’t for public use) with a few Toyota executives answering questions from the media:

IMAG0285I’d have to say that this was one of my most proudest moments as a photographer, especially given how much praise I received by the PR agency, members of the media, and the Toyota executives as well. I’m very grateful for all of the support everyone has given me, and definitely some special thanks to Wence Estrada and Matt Shi for their help on this very long Sunday. Here’s a link to all of the photos used by Toyota USA:
